“If six women can go to space for science, four actors can go for clout,” says Marvel rep.

In a bold, deeply unnecessary move, Marvel Studios has announced that the four stars of its upcoming Fantastic Four reboot will be launched into actual space “as part of a groundbreaking press tour.”

The studio confirmed the decision just days after an all-woman crew made headlines for completing a successful private space mission. “We were inspired,” said a Marvel spokesperson. “Not by science, or gender equity, or exploration. But by the potential for IMAX-ready content.”

The Fantastic Four cast—Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach—are reportedly “pretty confused but contractually obligated” to board a SpaceX rocket later this summer. Their mission? Spend 24 hours in orbit and somehow tie it all back to the movie’s plot.

When asked what they’ll actually do in space, early plans include:

Holding up a poster in zero gravity Filming a TikTok dance mid-orbit Taking the first ever space selfie with a sponsored ring light

Critics have raised concerns about cost, risk, and the general pointlessness of the stunt. But Marvel remains unbothered.

“We just really want people to stop talking about superhero fatigue,” said one exec, adjusting a Galactus Funko Pop on their desk. “If we can’t get audiences excited with a trailer, maybe strapping Pedro Pascal to a rocket will do the trick.”

NASA, when reached for comment, said, “Please stop calling us.”
