Denver, CO – The Barenaked Ladies were one of the biggest bands of the 1990s and they are still going strong today. The Canadian rock band has toured the world, put out 11 studio albums, and has been nominated for numerous Grammys. Some of the more popular songs by the quartet include, ” “The Old Apartment”, “Pinch Me”, “If I Had $1000000” and, “Brian Wilson”. Another big hit of their’s is the 1998 single, “One Week.” The catchy track off of their album, Stunt, hit number one on the Billboard Top 100 and has been featured in a number of films. As often as people have heard the song, still, nobody knows much besides after that chicken part.

The stanza starts: “Chickity China the Chinese chicken. You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin’. Watchin X-Files with no lights on,” and that is all that people know of that stanza. It’s always a great part to sing, but nobody knows more to that part.

Derek Wallace, a tax accountant in Mile High City, never stopped listening to 90’s music. Especially Barenaked Ladies. He somehow knows the rest of that stanza. At work this week, the Minnesota native was singing the song at his desk. After the X-Files line, he kept singing. The whole office was in shock. Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at him. Wallace is now the most popular person in his office.
