Lesson 5 I Have Such a Haddock

Simple Panko Baked Haddock

I reccommend the Seasoned Panko breadcrumbs so that you don’t need any herbs or spices to add.
These are also great for chicken tenders or adding to a salad.

  • 1/4-1/3 lb Haddock fillet per serving
  • Milk
  • 1 Cup Panko seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbs butter
  • 1 lemon
Place fish in a glass baking dish. Add some milk to cover 1/2 way. Soak for 15 minutes. This makes the fish moist and reduces the fishy smell.
(No guy wants his place to smell like fish…trust me.)
Drain milk.
Remove fish and butter dish a bit. Put a 1/8 slice on a napkin and spread pan.
Return fish to dish. (Homage to Dr. Seuss)
Cover with breadcrumbs. Squeeze some lemon on top.
Melt 3 Tbsp butter in a cup in microwave for about 30 -60 seconds. VERY HOT!
Pour over chicken.
Bake at 500 degrees for 20 minutes. Some crumbs around the fish may burn. No biggie.
Serve with the romaine lettuce and dressing left over from the Chicken Ceasar Salad.
Enjoy. Like this guy.
